Description
When you revisit a stock, will you remember why it made your watchlist?
You found a compelling company. You read the filings, opened several tabs, changed a few assumptions and reached a conclusion. A month later, the price has moved. Now you need to know: did the business change, did your assumptions change, or did you simply forget the original reasoning?
StockMags Pro gives that research a place to live. Keep valuation assumptions, evidence, the strongest opposing case and your review rules together in an account-based workspace you can return to.
$99 USD for 365 days of access. Manual renewal. No automatic recurring charge. This is the StockMags Pro annual research workspace. Gap & Bounce Scanner and Dividend Research Pro are separate planned offers and are not included.
Educational research only: You supply the figures, sources and assumptions. Outputs are scenarios, not investment recommendations, live quotes or promised returns. Investing involves risk, including loss of principal.
Give each research session a useful finish line
A useful finish line is a record that explains what you believed, where the important figures came from, what would change your view and when you plan to review it. Pro puts that record beside your valuation work, so your next session can start with the last decision rather than another search for scattered notes.
- Test the assumptions behind the price. Use discounted cash flow and margin-of-safety calculations with figures you enter. Adjust the growth, discount rate and other assumptions to see how the model changes.
- Examine what the entered price implies. Reverse DCF estimates the free-cash-flow growth required by your chosen inputs. It helps frame the question you still need to research.
- Keep several outcomes in view. Bear, base and bull total-addressable-market scenarios let you compare your assumptions instead of keeping only the most appealing case.
- Preserve the reason behind a decision. Save the thesis, strongest opposing case, invalidation conditions, sources and review date with the company record.
- Revisit earlier thinking. Thesis history retains up to 25 prior saved versions, with restoration, so updates do not have to erase your earlier reasoning.
- Compare like with like. Compare up to three saved records side by side, including valuation inputs and decision fields.
- Keep a copy you control. Export CSV or JSON and create printable decision summaries for your own records.
Valuation models are sensitive to their inputs. A calculated value is not a certified appraisal, a market price target or a forecast. Check units, reporting periods and source figures before relying on a result.
A practical first session
- Choose one company to research. Open its current primary filings and record the source and financial period.
- Enter your assumptions. Keep reported facts separate from your estimates. Use DCF, reverse DCF or TAM scenarios to identify which assumptions matter most.
- Write the opposing case. Record what would make the thesis less convincing. A useful research outcome can be to wait or decide against a purchase.
- Save a decision you can review. Keep the sources, invalidation conditions and next review date together. Return when new evidence arrives.
Review dates appear in the workspace. They are organizational prompts, not automatic email, text or brokerage alerts. The Deep Dive feature prepares a source-aware prompt; it does not independently verify your sources or supply paid AI research.
The cost of leaving the process scattered
There is no honest dollar estimate for what you will lose by not buying this product. Software cannot promise to prevent a trading loss, find the next winner or improve your returns.
The credible cost is the work your current process makes you repeat. You may need to reopen the same filings, reconstruct an old calculation or work out which version of your notes is current. When a thesis was never written down, it is also harder to review what you originally believed.
Use your own experience to judge the fit. How often do you repeat research because the earlier record is missing? Can you quickly find the source behind an important assumption? Can you compare an old thesis with what you believe today? If your current spreadsheet and notes already answer those questions well, you may not need Pro.
If those questions expose a recurring problem, the value of Pro is its listed tools and organized record-keeping workflow. The purchase decision should rest on that convenience, not fear of missing a market move.
Start free when that is enough
The free Decision Journal lets you begin the habit without payment. Its records stay in the current browser unless exported; clearing browser data can remove them. The public Research Lab includes separate manual-input valuation and CSV tools.
Consider annual Pro access when you regularly revisit several companies and want account-based records, valuation work, saved thesis history and comparisons together. The public scanners and research pages remain free and should not be mistaken for exclusive paid benefits.
What happens after purchase
Use your StockMags customer account at checkout, or follow the account-creation instructions for a new customer. The existing refund policy generally makes digital purchases final once access is granted, unless checkout states otherwise or applicable law requires a refund. Review the current checkout terms before paying. For purchase or access help, contact info@stockmags.com.
