StockMags Research Tools · Launch in preparation
A stock is down four days.
Is it worth a closer look?
Stop rebuilding the same watchlist by hand. Apply a consistent gap-and-bounce screen, then focus your attention on the candidates that meet your rules.
Large float. Clear filters. Dated snapshots.
Consecutive lower daily closes
Decline in the last completed session
Default minimum float, in shares
The cost of a noisy watchlist is your attention.
You open another chart. Check the down days. Calculate yesterday’s drop. Look up float. Check the 200-day moving average. Repeat.
By the time you finish, you may have a long list—but no consistent way to explain why each stock belongs on it.
Gap & Bounce Scanner gives that review a repeatable structure. It identifies research candidates from supplied data so you can spend more time checking the catalyst, chart and risk.
One workspace. Two distinct setups.
01 · BOUNCE WATCH
Find the extended decline.
At least four consecutive lower daily closes, followed by a latest-session decline greater than 5%. Six or more down days can qualify too.
Optionally require a touch or proximity to the 200-day simple moving average. This filter is separate from the down-day rule.
02 · GAP-UP WATCH
Keep the morning move separate.
Compare a supplied premarket price with the previous daily close. The starting threshold is a gap of at least 5%.
Gap results appear only when a valid premarket snapshot is available. A stock can qualify for both watches.
Know why a stock made the list.
- Float filter: the default is 100 million tradable shares; the site administrator controls the threshold.
- Volume filter: default minimum 20-day average volume of one million shares per day.
- 200-day context: the optional default proximity threshold is 2%, or a daily range crossing the average.
- Visible dates: check the scan session and quote timestamp before using a result.
- Review checklist: verify news, spreads, actual volume, VWAP and resistance on your own chart.
What is available—and what is still being connected
The current scanner works from imported market snapshots. Its screening rules are built and tested. Automated nightly updates and live premarket data are not connected.
Float must have a source and a recent as-of date. Missing or outdated float excludes a stock. A 200-day moving average requires 200 completed daily bars.
Checkout will open after verified data and paid access are working. This page is a launch overview; no purchase is available yet.
A clearer review in three steps
- Check the snapshot. Confirm the session date and the available data.
- Review the shortlist. Separate bounce candidates from gap-up candidates.
- Make your own decision. Verify the catalyst, price action and risk before considering an entry.

Does this include real-time quotes?
No. The current version uses imported snapshots. Daily and premarket dates are shown. A planned data connection should not be treated as a live feed.
Will every morning gapper appear?
No. The large-float and volume filters intentionally exclude stocks that do not meet the rules. A missing float value also excludes a stock.
Does it tell me what to buy?
No. A match is a research candidate, not a confirmed entry. Review current news, liquidity and your risk before acting.
Can I buy access now?
Not yet. The $19.95 monthly product is being prepared. Checkout remains closed until delivery and access checks are complete.
